I asked my friend, Chris, who works for the paper about the story. He wrote the following:

"I was told by the editor of the newspaper, who I'm friends with, that Griselda was given a hard time by her friends, who are Latino, for writing that story. Not that there was anything wrong with the story, but because it brought attention to those students, despite the fact their full names were not used. Very sadly, I believe that's the mentality when it comes being undocumented in Arizona; do not bring attention upon yourself for the fear of what may happen."
